Life happened to us this weekend. On Friday we welcomed Mason to the world. On Saturday Jerry and I spent our first day off together since Christmas. On Monday my brother-in-law Brian headed to Camp Williams to begin his tour of duty in Iraq.
I will start with little Mason. I have never been nearby when any of my nieces and nephews were born. After waiting around all morning I decided to go to the hospital and I happened to arrive minutes after the birth. I got to see the footprints and I brought older brothers Noah and Wyatt who each got their own personal tattoo of the baby's footprints, which would come to haunt us later.
Noah's reaction was tentative at first and then he relaxed and started talking about the "Hostible" and "My nother brother".
Wyatt, the dethroned baby, was shell shocked, to say the least. Well, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Wow, I bet that was so cool to be there so soon after the birth. Is that your sister?
Congrats! How exciting to be near family for such events. Do you have the internet now???
Oh my goodness. What a sweet little former "baby." Breaks my heart thinking about my kids growing up...so sweet.
Kathy, I'm glad you can be near family. I hope you're settling in quickly. Love and hugs to you!!!
